Who Runs The CedarCopse?

Hello, everyone! It’s been a little over a month and a half since this blog launched, so I thought I’d introduce myself. My name is Katherine, but my usual online handle is Sunsinourhands—or ‘Suns.’ I finished my first year and a day study in 2014 and was initiated into a local pagan circle. Unfortunately, the circle’s tradition was not a good fit for me. There were many ideas that I disagreed with, so I left. At the moment, I am studying a second tradition while I focus on journaling and a few other basics.

My heritage is primarily Chinese, Taiwanese, and Italian—if anyone is interested. I think it puts me in an interesting place culturally, being born ‘between’ several sets of customs. Unfortunately, both sides of my family shed their traditions when they immigrated to the United States and no one knows much of their family traditions from before that time. I have an uncle in Thailand who does divination and spirit work. However, it is very difficult to visit due to the cost involved. So I lack a strong family tradition on all sides.

I don’t work with any spirits or deities for the time being, since I haven’t yet made up my mind on if I want to or not. Right now, my focuses are centered on learning self-confidence in my craft. I’d rather spend a little too long walking than trying to fly before I’m ready. I love mundane crafting: sewing, drawing, planners, stationary, etc.

My Grimoire is in a scrapbook—where the pages are all in plastic protectors. It’s been working quite well for me, since it allows me to rearrange everything very easily. I’m also following tumblr’s 2016 Grimoire Challenge here. It’s been a great source of inspiration, even though I’m not worried about following it very closely.

I’m very interested in the archetype of Chicken, specifically the hen. I love birds, reptiles, fish, and amphibians! Is there anything you’d like to know about me? Please put your questions in the comments bellow! I’d love to answer them.
